Victory Day

Every year, the victory of the red army over Hitler's Germany is celebrated at the soviet memorial in Treptower Park in Berlin. On the 9th of May, from morning to night, thousands of people push along the huge park. They are dressed up festively and in military uniforms, they bring flowers, carry flags and present pictures of dead soldiers. The film documents this patriotic rush in long takes.
