Choices/Voices

Paragraph 218, which declares abortions a punishable offense in Germany, will be 150 years old in 2021. It stands in opposition to the right to choose, which the film demands. The film acts as an encouraging invitation to speak about the topic of abortion, which remains a social taboo – while access to this essential medical procedure is still restricted. An activist film and, at the same time, an impressive cinematic argument that goes beyond well-known arguments on the subject of abortion, promoting thoughts and actions that contribute to the path towards a society with expansive reproductive rights for all.
