Miguel, a homosexual man in his fifties, fled into exile in Spain 37 years ago. Plagued by hidden longings, unrequited love and tormenting feelings of guilt, he decides, after a long period of struggle, to travel back to his home country of Lebanon to confront his traumatic past. In a wild cinematic mix of animation, re-enactments, selfreflexive interviews and archive footage, filmmaker and protagonist systematically dismantle each other – only to reassemble Miguel in the end and thus establish his identity.
