Ten years after the death of Pina Bausch, two of her works are being restaged: “Iphigenie auf Tauris” at the Semperoper in Dresden and “Das Frühlingsopfer” at the École de Sables in Senegal. Under the enthusiastic guidance of former members of Pina’s company, young dancers are getting to know her language, her vision of authentic expression. But you cannot simply copy Pina Bausch. The young dancers have to experience and connect to Pina with their bodies and their stories. The film accompanies this fragile process and documents a fascinating reciprocal metamorphosis.
