Gabi is a bright child who doesn’t want to accept the given role as a girl. She prefers to wear cool clothes and play soccer. When she moves from Stockholm to a village, she has to fight harder against social pressure to conform. Then there’s the feeling of being different at school. And with puberty, the physical change, new questions arise. A long-term observation of a child on its way to adolescence, who questions prevailing binary gender norms by searching for its own identity. (Sita Scherer)
