A HAWK AS BIG AS A HORSE follows the fairy-tale everyday life of Lydia, an ornithologist living in Shcherbinka, a remote suburb of Moscow. In a wooden house she built to house herself and her wife Vasilisa and to realize their wildest fantasies, Lydia tries to recreate the atmosphere of "Twin Peaks", the famous David Lynch series that she loves. Between bird hunting, surreal rituals, filming, and making silicone dolls, Lydia seems to be the only one keeping up with her endless fantasies. (Clara Winter)
