Near Cölbe, a small town near Marburg, the Fleckenbühl farm lies idyllically secluded between fields – a self-help facility where people suffering from substance abuse get the opportunity to start a drug-free life. The concept of the self-help facility, which emerged from the Berlin self-help community "Synanon" and works without medical professionals and therapists, is controversial. For one year, GEMEINSAM NÜCHTERN accompanies five people with addictions on the Fleckenbühl farm in their attempt to live in sobriety, which for some seems to be the last chance they have to live a drug-free life.… >>>
