The highlands of Vietnam. Liem, a member of the Sedang minority, carries his child on his body, works in the fields, hangs laundry and cooks for the family. Speakers attached to lanterns blast the village with news and advertisements. Then the departure. A spiritual journey begins. PA VA HENG – DUST OF MODERN LIFE follows Liem and his companions on a multi-day trek through the jungle. A journey away from civilization.
