1 Hz - 0101 (Performance)
The performance 1 HZ of the artist duo 0101 is based on the PhD research of Daniel Rüdiger Mueller at the University of Art and Design Linz in cooperation with the musician Carl Creepy. The live synchronization unites ethnological video material of a documentary expedition through Papua New Guinea with field recorded drums and hypnotic guitar loops, summarizing each other into orchestral sound compositions. Facing acoustic and visual rhythms, the project explores the effect of perfectly timed and digitized human movements as well as the presentation of ethnological documentary research in the context of audiovisual performances.
Generative Nights – Lola and Yukao Meet (Performance)
GENERATIVE NIGHTS leads us to a dark and urban world in which humanity struggles with infinitely replicating micro-organisms. Their burst and growth are hypnotic and scary. Between swarms of particles we imagine gliders and space ships as flying guardians haunting the buildings while the city is asleep.
The duo Lola et Yukao Meet uses open source technologies to create these visual and sonic landscapes. They combine in their performance live generated voice loops, mechanical audio samples and real-time drawn graphical patterns.
Semi Silent (DJ)
Semi Silent's feeds his turntables almost exclusively with vinyl to serve his sound of House, Disco, Boogie, Afro, Brasil and Italo to appease the hunger of the dancing crowd at Hamburg's gourmet disco Golem.
Enzo Elia (DJ)
Already as a little boy, Enzo slurped Disco and Funk at his home in Italy like others do with spaghetti-sauce. Youth taught him American Techno and House and in his early manhood he discovered Balearic Sound. He now travels the world as part of the Balearic Gabba Soundsystem, sharing his wisdom with us for the night.
f:p Visual Pulse Kalma, Aikia, Jago (Performance)
To celebrate the new location of DokfestLounge 2015, we invited this year the f:p Visual Pulse team.
Using the architecture of the party location Große Weinkirche as a screen, they will create a special mapping projection on Friday and Saturday, carving three dimensional realities with lights and textures on its structures and surfaces.
Flecks of light and apparent shadows, oscillation of light into matter and matter into light. Dive with us into a unique visual party ambiance!
f:p Visual Pulse is a branch of the international female:pressure network that aims to encourage, exchange, discuss and share knowledge and experience between female artists specifically in the field of video art, while promoting cross-media collaborations within the network itself.
