TMI – Too Much Intimacy

Saturday, November 14th 2015 AT 22:15 h, Großes BALi

Humans are social beings, that much is clear. But as always, the devil is in the detail: At what point does a love declaration become encroaching? How does empathy develop and where does voyeurism start? How fine is the line between humor and embarassment? Between romance and corniness? Between porn and true intimacy? This program uses the affect machine that is the cinema to explore these limits and to try them out on the audience. It's all about lust and moods, about confrontation and compromise and last but not least about love, sex and tenderness.

Always Here

Always Here

ALWAYS HERE is a post-cinematic documentary about performers working for an adult webcam service. Most of the website’s "models" come from Eastern Europe. Much of their work time, the performers sit in front of the camera and try to attract visitors to pay for a private one-on-one session. Yet as they often work in shifts of eight to ten hours, the mundaneness and banality of the everyday inevitably at times disrupts their performance, and moments of boredom, everyday conflicts between couples, but also moments of closeness and true affection appear. What happens when these scenes meant for individual consumption on a laptop screen, which unfolded without the physical presence of a director or cameraperson, become reframed for collective spectatorship in the cinema? ALWAYS HERE explores the tensions between the private and the public, between voyeurism and empathy.

Love

Love

Cats do not only reign over the attention economy of the internets, they also attract a lot of affection in so-called „Real Life“ (RL). And that in spite of the well-known fact that they can be capricious when it comes to returning human displays of affection. In LOVE we are following a young woman on her ambitious mission to approach these autonomous creatures – an excessive quest for the ultimate furry frenzy. Will love triumph in the end?

Contact

Contact

A space in which people make contact. The camera observes precisely: How a first tentative touch evolves into a shared motion, how curiosity and shyness, irritation and compromise are negotiated through facial expressions and gestures. An experiment that carefully takes both its participants and its audience along the edges of their comfort zone.

Point of View

Point of View

Not a pair of eyes, but two eyes looking at each other, blinking at each other, in direct confrontation. Too close to be able to see, they develop a peculiar life of their own, become interacting organs entering in a playful combat. Until tears are falling.

D.^^.$.®

D.^^.$.®

In his experimental video clip D.^^.$.®. (DANCE.MUSIC.SEX.ROMANCE), Samuel Fouracre moves his protagonists through a kaleidoscopic, fragmentary world made of Hollywood glamour, glossy beauty shots, porn imagery and flashy computer game landscapes. Anecdotes telling of promiscuous relationships are interlaced with dance acts and snippets from sex chats, to form a candy-colored, cosmopolitan fake reality. Its sceneries emerge before our eyes only to fall apart into pixels and artefacts right away, abounding with material and sexual desires as well as with romantic sunset spectacles.

Lazy Adventures

Lazy Adventures

This film is dealing with two women who are excessively emotional and greedy for social contacts. Together they go through the total eclipse of the heart. They sit on the sofa, drink tea and call men. This is the second part of a trilogy. the first part was as reduced as possible, the second is loud and colourful!

Autumn

Autumn

The noise of the last leaves up in the crowns of the trees. The sound of falling water in a bathroom. A window to the autumn outside and leaves on the ground, a desperate question. A film about the power of everlasting, big love and about approaching ends – last years, weeks, seconds.
