Come Togehter. Dresden and the 13th February
From the 13th to the 15th of February, 1945, the English RAF and the American Air Force bombarded Dresden. Historians still debate today whether these bombardments were militarily necessary and whether they are to be considered war crimes from an ethical or legal standpoint. This timely documentary attempts to come to grips with the culture of historical commemoration, ideological bias and the current public discussion about an appropriate form of remembrance. The rich tradition of commemoration has become an argument on the street. It is a conflict for the right to interpret German history.
