Mother at fourteen. For two years director Cornelia Grünberg accompanied teenagers Steffi, Laura, Fabienne and Lisa, four girls who couldn't be more different, with one thing in common: all four had unplanned pregnancies and made conscious decisions to keep their babies. Fear, doubt, joyful anticipation, open questions: in this new reality relationships must be redefined and conflicting wishes reconciled. A gripping documentary, the first of a planned trilogy, which manages to completely avoid voyeurism and look its protagonists in the eye, while confronting the viewer with profound questions.
