How Do You Come About?
Why two people start or maintain a relationship is sometimes quite inaccesible to others. What is it, that keeps couples together? Are we just looking for an extension of ourselves? And in what way are we influenced by clichés? These seven films look at different forms of (love)relationships from the first contact up to the hard stuff. Why do we look? Because we're curious, but our presence also offers a stage on which fact and fiction can intertwine.

A Story for the Modlins
After appearing in the film "Rosemary's Baby", by Roman Polanski, Elmer Modlin ran away with his family to a distant land, where they shut themselves inside a dark apartment for thirty years. One day, forty years later, hundreds of photographs, letters and other objects that belonged to Elmer Modlin and his family turned up next to a garbage container outside number 3 calle Pez in downtown Madrid. That same evening, walking down that same street, a stranger found the story of the Modlins lying on the sidewalk like a jigsaw puzzle. This is how, just by chance, it fell into the hands of a stranger, who would piece it together just as he pleased.
