BARSTOW, CALIFORNIA is a film about a small town in the US-American Midwest on the edge of the Mojave desert, the land and its people. We travel through the endless desert landscape to Fort Irwin Military Training Center, from Calico ghost town to Motel 66, „right on the mother road“, to the site of the childhood home of Stanley „Spoon“ Jackson, an internationally acclaimed poet and lifer at Folsom prison.
