The Good Death

Janette suffers from the genetic disease muscular dystrophy and desires a dignified death. Her mother was already affected and confined to a wheelchair for decades. Her son Simon inherited the disease as well. Janette decides to seek for assisted suicide in Switzerland. Director Tomáš Krupa accompanies the protagonist and her family until the moment of dying. Never irreverent or glorifying, at best leading the viewers through cinematic techniques, THE GOOD DEATH makes the emotionality of the events tangible through the cinematic form.… >>>
