Lost in Memories

The young filmmaker Ruud accompanies his parents who are not so old at all with his camera to the neurologist, where they learn that his father suffers from incurable vascular dementia. An intimate film is being made. It shows the helplessness of both the father and the caring mother in dealing with the progressive disease. In the process of farewell, the pasture, the family paradise with ponies and vegetable garden created by the father, stands for finiteness and permanence, for the fragility and strength of family ties.
