There Will Be no More Night

IL N'Y AURA PLUS DE NUIT is based on video recordings produced by helicopter crews in the American and the French Armed Forces in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria. We recognize these images as elements of the so called iconography of modern war: Dark visuals, like negative images. The only bright parts visible are the sources of heat: Moving vehicles, standing, walking or running, ghostly Silhouettes. Eléonore Weber diverts these propaganda images and uses them as a starting point to reflect on the question of where the desire to see as much as possible can lead to, when it is used without limit.… >>>
