In the wrong place at the wrong time. It is exactly this circumstance that turns the life of a young woman upside down, who unsuspectingly goes to a party with her boyfriend at the time where the internationally wanted terrorist Carlos shoots two French policemen. The German filmmaker and protagonist Ulrike Schaz becomes a suspect of the French secret service. Almost 40 years after the incident, she meets her former boyfriend for the first time again in a Parisian café.
