That afternoon, 23-year-old Naomi decides to visit an open-cast lignite mine that has a special meaning for her. Cat accompanies Naomi there. On the way to the mine, they negotiate what their relationship to each other and to nature as an endangered habitat means. They experience a togetherness that softens the seemingly hard boundaries between friendship and romantic love.
