SHOUTING AT THE WIND accompanies Meysam as an adolescent, as he pursues a career in the Iranian underground music scene. However, the art of music making itself and circumstances in his social surroundings prove to be obstacles in his path. SHOUTING AT THE WIND is a wonderful, light and at the same time humorous film about coming of age, about the love to music and poetry. Unagitated and without a moralizing undertone, but with a clear vision, the film shows – quasi as a subplot – life in contemporary Iranian society with all its contradictions and longings.
