Lejos de casa (Far Away From Home)

Many people from Central and South America hope for a better future in the USA. Among them are thousands of unaccompanied minors who apply for asylum every year. In Tijuana, Mexico, they find a stopover after traumatic experiences in their home countries and weeks of travel. Here they reenact border controls, work through what they have experienced, receive English lessons and legal assistance. And again they have to wait, for the decision whether they will be deported from Mexico, or whether their hopes will be fulfilled in the “Land of Hope and Glory”. (Anja Klauck)… >>>
