Freedom from Everything

In his film essay, Mike Hoolboom puts the two pandemics of COVID-19 and AIDS in relation to each other through the neoliberal mythology of personal freedom: “Freedom from Everything”, according to Hito Steyerl, means the freedom from a good job, health care, affordable housing.
