The geodesic dome, echoed in the architecture of many tech headquarters, is examined as an iconic symbol of this alternative culture. Whereas Richard Buckminster Fuller, who popularized the domes, approached the world holistically in terms of food, energy, and housing, big tech companies seem to have lost much of that impetus.
