Yaar sees himself as a completely „normal“ German. The fate of his ancestors has nothing to do with him and his life. His fellow student Marcel does see it similarly. What counts is the present, their friendship unencumbered by history. As proof, they decide to develop a computer game about the Holocaust, in which victim and perpetrator are different. A Jewish and a Nazi-German family member are to serve as role models. Yaar embarks on an emotional journey that changes everything, as he finally gets his father and traumatized grandmother to speak. In cooperation with the section junges dokfest.
