World-Blowing

(BALi, KulturBahnhof Kassel)

How to deal with others? And how to deal with ourselves? And – quite generally – how to deal with the world? From the usual madness of Zoom meetings and the stress a delivery driver must cope with when faced with deadlines, to the underhanded tactics of a real estate owner – the pressure and the hurdles which modern society throws in our way are manifold. How does a train driver manage to get back into the driver’s booth after someone has thrown themselves in front of the train? Coping strategies are needed. But what if the own body, or even the mind, begins to resist our plans? Films about the pursuit of autonomy and self-determination. (Lili Hartwig)
