Jutta Feit is a distributor and producer at jip film und verleih. After many years of experience in various fields of filmmaking and international co-production, Jutta Feit and Julia I. Peters founded jip film & verleih in 2017 with a focus on impact distribution of political and socially critical and relevant feature films and documentaries. She served on the board of Filmhaus Frankfurt, was on the jury of the short film festival Shorts at Moonlingt and the JETS jury 20218/2019.

Marcie K. Jost works in film, arts and culture as an executive producer, production manager and consultant for dramaturgy and production. In addition to jury duties for festivals, she was a member of the Berlinale Talents Selection Committee for 14 years. She is co-owner of worklights media production GmbH, board member of the Werkleitz Gesellschaft and uses her experience of artistic and production-technical approaches to the realisation of media-artistic and documentary works particularly intensively at the European Media Art Platform and the werkleitz Professional Media Master Class.

Christian Klisan, born in 1977, studied Culture- and Media Education in Merseburg, Saxony. After graduating in 2005 he worked as a freelance media educator and in film for German Federal Cultural Foundation and the Federal Agency for Civic Education. Since 2007 he works for the Media Authority of Saxony Anhalt (MSA) organizing the project “Medienmobil”.

After studying Political Science, English and Public Law he worked as a journalist, managing director and senior editor at the commercial local TV station INTV. In 1997 he took over the management of the open TV channel in Kassel. He is currently chairman of the Federal Association of Citizens Media BVBM and has been member of the jury for the German Citizens Media Award as well as for several film festivals. At the University of Kassel he teaches the practical seminar "Basics of Video Journalism".

Marieke Eichstaedt is 18 years young and attends grade 13 at the Jacob Grimm School in Kassel. She is looking forward to viewing and judging the nominated works in the context of the jury duty and has great respect for artistic creativity and artistic commitment. She would like to contribute to the selection with her ability to look closely and her independent thoughts on the things she sees - even if she is not (yet) an expert on film.

Jonathan Heinemann is 18 years old and attends grade 13 at the Jacob Grimm School in Kassel, Germany, where his major subjects are art and biology. He has always been fascinated by films because they evoke emotions through their moving images, they can change and broaden our view of the world, and they can open up new perspectives for us. In his opinion, films open doors - not only to other places or stories - but also to ourselves. That's what makes this medium so unique for him.

Hassinah Sarwar is 18 years old and attends grade13 at Georg-Christioph-Lichtenberg Gymnasium. Her major subjects are art and English. She is interested in films that have a socially critical message and make people think – for example, about how to deal with prejudices against groups of other ethnicities. She is also interested in films from a creative point of view: Among other things, the impact of certain effects and the conveyance of emotions. As a juror, she wants above all to be able to discuss openly and develop an understanding for the individual films.
