Audiovisual performances
For four nights of the festival the DokfestLounge is the nocturnal meeting point after 10.30 p.m. The lounge is the communicative interface for filmmakers and guests and brings together the cultural nightlife of Kassel with an international program of experimental audiovisual sound concepts produced in analog or digital media, Live Cinema performances as well as Club Visuals and VJ-Sets. Here music and moving image meet in real time and interact with the audience and space.
Whether photocopier, magnifying glass or laptop, drawn or sampled, remixed or recycled, the nights belong to the festival parties, which have been an inherent part of the festival program since 2004.
There is an open call for submissions for this program, which is selected from a vast number of submissions by a committee every year. Concepts for audiovisual performances of all kinds, visuals and VJ-Sets are accepted for this section.
