Camp 14 - Total Control Zone

Camp 14 - Total Control Zone

The large square in the centre of the camp was flooded with sunlight. Shin Dong Huyk’s mother and brother were executed before his and his father’s eyes. The security level of Camp 14 is categorized as a “total control zone”. Nobody ever leaves it alive. Shin was born inside the gulag in North Korea on 19th November 1983. From the day of his birth he was a political prisoner and had no idea of the world outside the electrical fence. He grew up isolated from the outside world until he managed to escape after 20 years of imprisonment.
