Momenta 100 - 100 Tage Film

100 moments of dOCUMENTA (13). 100 short stories about people and places. Filmmakers Karl and Johannes Brunnengräber documented events in and around Kassel during the exhibition day in and day out. The result was 100 seconds of film per day, tiny episodes in which humans and their connections to the dOCUMENTA (13) are the center of attention. They become part of the story of MOMENTA 100, one example of a hundred, whether in interviews or observation without commentary. Here, the taxi driver whose interest in art was awoken through a conversation with Joseph Beuys, there, the jogger in the Aue Park who only sees the art works as he runs past them: they become as much a part of the story as the artists and their creations.

Aside from the people, the places in Kassel and their dynamics are in the center of the camera's gaze: how does the pulse of the city change, which spots are brought to life, which ones are neglected? Where are new things born and where do old things vanish?

MOMENTA 100 - 100 TAGE FILM lets people and places speak for themselves, without additional commentary - a documentary approach which provides a singular and intensive look at one hundred days of international exhibition in Kassel and enables those who attended it to indulge in personal memories.
