Weiner began as a novice filmmaker. Throughout the years she filmed many and various encounters with one of the pioneers of Direct Cinema, Richard Leacock, and his contemporaries Henri Langlois, D. A. Pennebaker, Robert Drew, Jean Rouch. This is no conventional biography, though reviewing his numerous contributions to the art of documentary cinema. A dense collage to see, sense and understand the intent of Leacock's lifelong quest to capture "the feeling of being there." Superb archival and found footage edited to an intense conversation.
