The Workshop symposium interfiction offers lectures, presentations and workshop-sessions concerning a yearly changing topic, which takes a closer look at the political, social and artistic aspects of the medium internet.

05.JUNGES DOKFEST

The educational side program is aimed at school students from the 8th till the 13th grade as well as teachers. The project consists of special film programs as well as workshops about film analysis and criticism under the guidance of media educators.

The artist talks, lectures and screenings of the DokfestForum raise questions about the interfaces between film and art.

With the Hessian University Film Day, the presentation of a European Film College and hands-on workshops and lectures, the Kassel Dokfest offers possibilities for further education, information on education opportunities and access to professional networks for (Hessian) up-and-coming filmmakers.

INTERFICTION

Screening of the winners of the German Short Film Award – presented by the Kassel Dokfest / 24.09.2015

On Saturday, 26 September, the BALi-Cinemas present the winning films of the German Short Film Award 2014.

The German Short Film Award is the most important and most lucrative award for short films in Germany. It is awarded by the Minister of State for Culture and Media in the categories feature film, documentary, animation and experimental film. Since 1998 the award winners are going on tour through German cinemas.

The Kassel Dokfest presents the cinema tour of the German Short Film Award in the BALi-Cinemas. The Kassel Dokfest has been involved for short films for many years, for example by collaborating in the German Short Film Association.

The 32nd edition of the Kassel Dokfest will take place from 10 until 15 November. It lists about 200 current, documentary, experimental and artistic short films.
