Dotokime project was born from the passion of two artists: Emilia Gumańska, known under the VJ Emiko alias, and Artur Śleziak, producing electronic music as DotDot. For her video installations, Emiko works with a human body, shadows, and emotions. The music of DotDot is the art of creating tense sound; it’s an ongoing experimentation with colors and space. Their debut joint project, called LIGHT PARTICLES, is the dance of a man, light, and sound. And the presentation of everything that’s important to a human being. It took over a year to film all of the scenes, required for an hour-long story – combined with music – which unfolds, hypnotizes and makes time stop. The project premiered in March 2015 in the Centre of Audiovisual Technologies in Wroclaw.

Kohlberger uses digital-projection technology in a radical way. Through impulses and waves of pure light, the intentional overload of the human perception apparatus leads to visual impressions that appear exclusively in the literal »eye of the beholder«. Layers of noise, drones and stroboscopic lights unfold a sense of the infinite, which fascinates him both as the ultimate abstraction and because it is inveterately fuzzy. Image surface and image space meld into one (consciousness-)state, in which categories such as being and non-being, material and immaterial appear obsolete.

The Essenian Julia Backmann aka TheElectricTaste has been traveling as a DJ all over Germany and Europe since 2006. Her sets contain a high-quality selection of different types of driving club music. From techno to dub and back to the house, she combines kitschy tones and experimental sounds, and has been successful in her career in clubs like Golden Pudel in Hamburg, the Artheater in Cologne or the Hotel Shanghai in Essen, but also
beyond the club borders.

KRITZKOM is the solo project of Marine Drouan, musician and graphic designer, from Nantes (France) living in Berlin. She produces and plays live electronic music with an assortment of machines interacting together. Her production has solid, straight forward beats and at the same time playful elements that make her sound so unmistakable and enriched catalogs of the labels like Seagrave, Hyle Tapes. She also has a similarly strong attitude in her DJ set, and links insightful music with precision evermore.

Between the various projects, hiHərto shows the most experimental side of the artist Lenka Kocisova. Her abstract sound examines emotional perception of the audience and awakens with surprise the fury of dancing. The moment of hithertoo (so far) is always shifted further by rhythms and the feeling of time disappears into the excess of the movement.

Kalma is constantly on the lookout for new challenges. Whether light installations, interactive sculptures, mapping projects or VJ sets, she always creates next dimensions and makes something never before seen.
